Not affected by the Heartbleed Bug
Your information and services with us are safe
By now you have probably heard of the “Heartbleed Bug” security vulnerability discovered early last week. We wanted to assure you that all our services were not affected. In fact all sites we host were protected from the vulnerability since March 31, a week before it was publicly announced. Additionally third party services that we use to store your information have not been breached.
In case you haven’t heard…
The Heartbleed Bug is a serious vulnerability in the popular OpenSSL cryptographic software library. This weakness allows stealing the information protected, under normal conditions, by the SSL/TLS encryption used to secure the Internet. SSL/TLS provides communication security and privacy over the Internet for applications such as web, email, instant messaging (IM) and some virtual private networks (VPNs). More information can be found at heartbleed.com.
Mashable has compiled a list of sites that have been affected, including if any action is required on your part to change your password. If you use the same password across multiple sites we recommend changing them. To help you with that, we recommend using a password manager such as LastPass. We have partnered with them to offer you 1 month free of LastPass Premium!
